  COORG: COORG                Kodagu is a hilly district of Karnataka popularly called as Coorg . This hilly region is a part of Western Ghat and it covers an area of 4103 sq. Km. Located about 257 Km away from state capital, Bangalore . Madikeri is the main town of coorg and it also serve as the district headquarters. Other major cities of the kodagu are virajpet, kushalanagara and somwarpet. coorg district is divided into the three talukas namely Madikeri, Virajpet and somwarpet.  PLANETARIUM, CHENNAI :


        B. M. Birla Planetarium is a large planetarium in Chennai providing a virtual tour of the night sky and holding cosmic shows on a specially perforated hemispherical aluminium inner dome. The fifth B. M. Birla planetarium in the country, it is located at Kotturpuram in the Periyar Science and Technology Centre campus which houses eight galleries, namely, Physical Science, Electronics and Communication, Energy, Life Science, Innovation, Transport, International Dolls and Children and Materials Science, with over 500 exhibits. Built in 1988 in the memory of the great industrialist and visionary of India B. M. Birla, it is the most modern planetarium in India.

Tamil Shows: 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM

2. VALLUVAR KOTTAM MONUMENT    VALLUVAR KOTTAM            Valluvar Kottam was built in the year 1976 to honour the great classical Tamil poet and saint Tiruvalluvar who wrote the famous Thirukkural. Three thousand stone blocks were used to create this memorial. All the 133 chapters of his work Thirukkural have been inscribed in the front hall corridor.           A life sized statue of the poet is mounted inside the monument which has been built in the shape of a temple chariot (39 meter high). The place also boasts of a huge auditorium which can accommodate around 4000 people and is believed to be the largest auditorium in Asia.
